                      LEED

Each commercial project that we develop focuses on meeting the standards of LEED sustainable green building, development, and operational practices. As an early adopter of these standards, we feel our projects have a competitive advantage over those of our competitors.

Our Silver LEED certified Marriott Residence Inn in Portsmouth New Hampshire was the Marriott Residence Inn brand's first LEED certified hotel in the world. In addition to meeting Silver LEED construction criteria, operationally, the eco-friendly attributes include improved air quality with ‘energy recovery’ technology and a decrease in water waste by up to 770,000 gallons per year. The Marriott Residence Inn also offers abundant natural lighting and eco-friendly hotel supplies and uses chemical-free cleaning products.

The Residences at Portwalk, a mixed residential and retail project currently under construction in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is targeted to be LEED certified. To become LEED certified the building will have to follow guidelines such as recycling 80% of construction waste and obtaining at least 40% of all construction materials within a 500 mile radius. Once constructed, the building will use 31% less energy than conventional developments.
