Jim Goldenberg, Principal
Jim co-founded Cathartes Investments in 1992. Since that time, he has directed the overall activities of the firm and overseen the acquisition, development and management of more than 45 properties totaling five million square feet and representing more than $600 million in asset value. Jim has 25 years of experience in the real estate industry with extensive time spent focusing on multiple property types and a wide variety of transaction structures and business plans.Prior to founding Cathartes, Jim was Vice President and Project Manager of the Seltzer Organization, an international commercial real estate development firm, where he was involved in the acquisition, development and disposition of several million square feet of commercial properties. Earlier, Jim worked with Cushman and Wakefield in New York City on the brokerage team for the Chairman of the Board, Steven Seigel.

Jim earned his BA in Economics from Colgate University and his MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of ULI, REFA and the New England Clean Energy Council. Jim has served on the Board of Directors for the Boston Area YMCA and Somerville Chamber of Commerce and has been nominated for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He currently is a Trustee for Bay Farm Montessori Academy and is chairman of the Alternative Energy Committee in his hometown of Duxbury, Massachusetts.
